Joshua Marable is behind bars following an investigation into an armed robbery after he accosted a person walking along the street in Waldorf last week.

According to the Charles County Sheriff's Office, at around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, officers were called to the area of Lexington Drive and Lexington Place for the report of an armed robbery that had just taken place.

Investigators say that Marable was driving in the area when stopped and took out a gun and pointed it at his victim as he walked down Lexington Drive, ordering him into the car.

Once the victim was in the car, Marable allegedly pointed the gun at the victim and demanded his name-brand shoes. The victim complied and was then instructed to exit the car.

During the investigation, Marable was identified as a suspect and he was later tracked down in the area of Daffodil Place in Waldorf with both the suspect car and stolen shoes.

The Indian Head resident was arrested and charged with armed robbery, first-degree assault, use of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and other related offenses.

He's being held at the Charles County Detention Center without bond.
